Thread: Best instant access savings, Santander offering highest interest rate at 2.9%.

Since November 2010 the Post Office have held the best instant access savings account, but now we see Santander come in and take up the number 1 spot with an interest rate of 2.9%. I know it's the same as the instant access interest rate the post office were offering, but they've dropped to 2.6%. For more information about Santander's best instant access savings check here:

Interest Rate and Bonus details

Interest Rate Details:
Earn 2.90% gross/AER (variable) for 12 months on all the money saved in the account, after which the underlying rate, currently 0.50% gross/AER (variable), applies.

Bonus Detail:
Bonus of 2.40% gross/AER (variable) included in the rate for 12 months from account opening.


Interest Payment:
Interest is calculated daily and received monthly or annually.
