buying a house? what is NO DHSS?

I hope this is the right section i was going to put it in mortgages but saw the new forum section.

I was looking at information about a house i'm interested in and it has

NO DHSS, NO SMOKERS, PETS CONSIDERED

first off what is no DHSS and how can they say no smokers if it's going to be your house?

they're normally terms for when a landlord is offering a flat/house for rent not for sale. DHSS is the Department of Health and Social Security.

Was the place previously for rent?

According to me, buying a house is not an easy task because there are so many factors affected, to keep in mind. So that first of all check the important factors like DHSS and so on, then only decide to buy a house.

I agree with Gav, this house might be kept for a rent, now also they are putting their house for rent and not for sale. I think you should concern with the owner of that house of the people around that area.
