there's a change this week, about time too! Northern Rock have bumped up their fixed rate 5 year cash ISA from 4.1% to 4.3%, with the new 5 Year Fixed Rate Cash ISA Issue 155:

Fixed Rate ISA: Savings: Northern Rock

• Allows transfers in from existing Cash ISAs
• Tax free savings, up to the current annual allowance of £5,100 per tax year
• Fixed interest rate until 15 February 2016
• Open with an initial deposit of £500
• Once the issue is withdrawn additional funds can be deposited for a period of 30 days' only

Key features of Fixed Rate Cash ISAs

• Allows transfers in from existing Cash ISAs.
• Combines tax-free savings with a fixed interest rate throughout the term of the account.
• Invest from £500 up to a maximum of £5,100 each tax year, whilst the Fixed Rate Cash ISA is available to new customers. Once the issue is withdrawn you will be able to deposit additional funds for a period of 30 days' only. After this period you will not be able to make any additional deposits into this or any other Cash ISA in the current tax year, even if you have not reached your annual subscription limit.
• Fixed Rate Cash ISAs are intended as longer term deposits, although you can have access to your money, subject to a charge equivalent to 180 days' loss of interest on the amount withdrawn from issue 155.
• This is a strictly limited issue and may be withdrawn at short notice. To avoid disappointment, please submit your application as soon as possible.
