i'm one of those people that uses a different password for everything, so have a habbit of loosing them as I often make them up on the spot. I've had to use facebook's reset password application a few times, but reading just now: Facebook Beefs Up Security With Social Captchas and All HTTPS, All The Time that they're going to make you enter your friends name to get your password reset has me a little worried, as many friends that have listed me are from Highschool and I haven't seen them for 10 years!
The social captcha feature is pretty clever. It will replace regular captchas (those slightly warped letters you are asked to re-enter to prove you are human) with a picture of one of your friends. You will need to identify the person to authenticate yourself when you are trying to retrieve a lost password or Facebook detects suspicious login activity on your account. You do know what all your “friends” look like, don’t you?
I know I will get it wrong! errr! wonder if I'm autistic as I can never remember people's faces and am pretty bad at reading them, but have no problems reading what dogs want!
