hi della, the best thing to do is go to your local branch, depending on which bank you want to go with. I've had a good run with Nationwide. I am not a fan of Lloyds TSB, or the Royal Bank of Scotland, both have been rather useless in the past.

Once you've decided on your bank, you will need photo ID (drivers licence, passport), proof of address (electrical, gas or phone bill, council tax letter). Then you should have no trouble.

If you need more information let me know.

    regards
    Gav.

Hi, Della, I agree with the Gav's view point, but one thing more that I would like to add in here is that, why do not you personally see what bank is good and suitable for you and what is not? Perhaps that would be in term of suitability of your interest too.. Good Luck in anyway!
